As there are no sailing specific requirements to enter the race, everyone who signs up has to complete the four levels of Clipper Race Training. Each level focusses on specific elements.
The first level is a general introduction to sailing, allowing everyone to familiarise themselves with the yachts. The second level includes a multi-day sail, introducing the watch system to keep sailing 24h a day. Level three focusses on how you can make the boat go faster, emphasizing this is a race. The fourth and final level prioritises team dynamics and will allow to sail with one’s race skipper.
